As part of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life held in Kailua, students and instructors from Martial Arts Academy not only donated their time as volunteers, but also participated in the opening ceremonies with a demonstration from the MAC Elite Team. We look forward to continued participation with Relay For Life and are proud to have been part of an event that raised over $98,000 for cancer research, education and patient services.

Committed to being an asset to the community and setting an example as good neighbors, Martial Arts Company participates in multiple events on Oahu's windward side. When schools were impacted by a recent teachers' contract that closed schools for 17 Fridays throughout the year, Master Bishaw created the Furlough Relief Boot Camp. This day-long program will be offered every Friday that schools are closed due to teacher furloughs and will give parents an alternative to traditional child care that includes education, martial arts fundamentals, fitness and fun. The local news visited the dojang as part of multiple broadcast pieces on ours and other similar programs to inspire other companies to step up.
